All public spaces have been crammed so tightly that there is barely room for anyone, much less plus-size individuals! For years, I have noticed that eateries have moved tables so close together that larger people can't pass thru the tables or sit comfortably without bumping into others. A news article interviewed a store's interior designer about racks of clothing being placed so close to each oher that heavy folk can't fit thru. He said, "We like to think that we are encouraging Americans to adopt a healthier lifestyle if they want to shop at our stores." Basically, he was admitting that they don't want fat people in their stores.
That is so messed up. Every time I've gotten on a plane with my former partner, who is a great big fella, I always worried they'd try and pull some shit like that...
What a world we live in! And the seats are way too tiny.
I never understand why the chairs in the waiting areas by the gates are normal comfortable sizes, but then you have to squeeze your big buns to get into the narrow on-board seats. Airplanes are like short-term prisons. We are but Pringles in airborne cans.
