Seriously, great expressions and character work, especially as contrasted with all the recent destruction and ass-kicking. Also, you write really good crazy evil old guy speak. Makes me wonder...

Hmmmm...dictionaries...
I've been avoiding this post, 'cause it seems kind of snarky -- but since almost every Act-I-Vater gets this one wrong (along with half the population these days), I feel like I have to perform a public service.
"Its" the possessive (as in, "the dragon rears its head") does NOT use an apostrophe. Only the contraction form of it's (short for "it is") has an apostrophe. At least by standards of American English.

Thesauri and Dictionaries!? Outrageous! I have yet to crack open these so called 'Handbooks of the Logos'! What an atrocious affront!
Now if only I could figure out the difference between "it's" and "its"!

Yes, this is another opportunity to see Victor in action. The next few pages will spend a little time with him to see what he's about. It's going to get a little macabre, I'll warn you.
Alexis (it's a she) and I worked out the skeleton of the larger story just before I launched but since then it's been solely me at the reigns. I take full responsibility for the storytelling gaffs along the way and the considerable bloat that's come out of its execution. Thanks for asking, Paul.
