"syneisaktism"--an ascetic practice known in late antique & medieval eastern monasticism, primarily, in which a man sleeps among women in order to fight the temptation to sleep with women. Also practiced, according to legend, by the 11th-century French wandering preacher Robert of Arbrissel.
