Tim this is superb. I love the hopeful message at the "end" of this character's journey. Well written! It's been a fun and rewarding adventure working with your poignant and energetic prose. I'm looking forward to our next project!
Thanks for so many fabulous, hilarious, brilliant words, dude. I'm so glad you showed up here, and I can't wait to read whatever you write next. Keep being cursed by happiness and unlimited creativity!
Just do the damned work, finish it, do another thing , finish that! It sounds so obvious, but that really weeds out the pretenders from pros. I tend to think that if you get a whole ton of things done , you get quite good at doing whatever those things are.
Congrats on having done this. I can tell you've done other things that are good too....'cos this was damned good. I'll likely read the next thing you do too. Chances are it'll be even better. It's great to be alive!
Thanks, Si--it really was a light bulb moment for me, just "pile up the pages" sort of thing.
Uplift was pretty much 100% just improvisational writing, very little edits, no planning/forethought other than it's a true story so I knew the basic facts/timeline. I could go on for 2 more years but need a breather. Thanks for your support...and ask Dean how you can snag a copy of my new little book, ONE DAMN THING AFTER ANOTHER--if you like Uplift that's probably the next logical choice! </sales pitch>
